*DATASET-NAME: Meteo and tide gauge data in the Sicily Channel (MULIS Project: 1991-92)

*TIME-PERIOD: From December 1991 to July 1992.

*GEOGRAPHIC-COVERAGE: 3 tide gauge stations (Scilla, Villa San Giovanni, Reggio Calabria) and 3 meteorological stations (Cannitello, Messina, Pellaro) on the Calabrian Coast.

*PROJECT: MULIS, on behalf of Snamprogetti S.p.A.

*PARAMETERS: Sea level; atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, wind gust.

*INSTRUMENTS: LASTEM.

*SUMMARY: The data were collected in the framework of an environmental study in the Sicily Channel.
The experimental activity is based on LASTEM sensors.
The data were sampled at one-hour interval. The complete set consists of 63.568 recordings of sea level and 14.919 recordings of meteo data.
In the same period 5 current meters were deployed.
