*DATASET-NAME: Wave data in the Sicily Channel (MULIS Project: 1992)

*TIME-PERIOD: From Jannuary to June 1992.

*GEOGRAPHIC-COVERAGE: Buoy position: 38° 11.33'N - 015° 34.82'E

*PROJECT: MULIS, on behalf of Snamprogetti S.p.A.

*PARAMETERS: Standard wave parameters (Significant height Hs, Maximum height Hmax, Significant period Ts, Mean period Tav, THmax, Maximum crest Cmax, Mean direction, Directional spread).

*INSTRUMENTS: Datawell Directional Waverider.

*SUMMARY: The data were collected in the framework of an environmental study in the Sicily Channel.
The experimental activity is based on a Datawell Directional Waverider buoy moored at 100 metres of depth.
The data were sampled at at one-hour interval. The complete set consists of 1685 recordings.
