*DATASET-NAME: Vessel-Mounted ADCP data in the Atlantic Ocean (2003-2004)

*TIME-PERIOD: From 30 November 2003 to 14 Jannuary 2004.

*GEOGRAPHIC-COVERAGE: From the Mediterranean Sea, throught the Atlantic Ocean up to the Scotia Sea and Drake Passage (box 58S-36N, 50W-14E)

*PROJECT: 

*PARAMETERS: Current Speed and Direction.

*INSTRUMENTS: RDI 75 KHz RDI Vessel Mounted Acoustic Doppler Profiler (VMADCP).

*SUMMARY: The VMADCP continuously measures and records the marine current to a depth range of 750m.
The VMADCP is interfaced with PHINS XSEA navigation system. The data acquired are georeferenced and corrected for the disturb induced by the pitch and roll of the ship.
