*DATASET-NAME: Meteo-oceanographic data collected within EVOLINE project

*GEOGRAPHIC-COVERAGE: Buoy position: 45° 36.12' N - 013° 09.06' E

*PROJECT: EVOLINE (EVOlution of coastal LINE)

*PARAMETERS: Pressure, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, REDOX, Atmospheric Pressure, Air Temperature, Wind Speed and Direction, Relative Humidity, Hydrostatic Pressure.

*INSTRUMENTS: CTD IDRONAUT OS316 coupled with YOUNG INSTRUMENTS Meteorological station.

*SUMMARY: The EVOLINE project aims to study the coastal erosion acting in the Northern Adriatic area (along Bibione and Lignano coast). It is founded by Friuli-Venezia-Giulia Local Government to provide meteo-oceanographic conditions to Civil Protection Center in Palmanova (Udine). The complete experimental activity is based on a Datawell Directional Waverider (DWR), the meteo-oceanographic MAMBO2 buoy and the PAGODA instrumental set-up (the near-shore station).
The meteo-oceanographic MAMBO2 buoy is fitted with a CTD profiler, casting every three hours by means of an electrical winch, and a meteorological station, with temperature sensor, anemometer, barometer and humidity sensor. All instruments are managed by controller mounted on the buoy. The MAMBO2 data are sent in real-time via GSM to OGS for data processing.
