Version 4 supersedes all previous versions. A data quality check has not been performed, except for correcting obvious mistakes. Due to several changes in the techniques used in chemical analyses, the comparison between "old" and "recent" should be made with caution.
The station identification has been re-numbered in sequence as the station appears in the data archives.
However, the station code, as given by originators (when available), has been maintained as 11 alphanumeric characters in the header information of each station.
Furthermore, the last field in the header contains the reference no. of the originating authors/institution as it appear in the enclosed list of reference. If you find errors and/or problems please contact the originating Centre.
